Apply like a pro – in English, across all language barriers. The Application Bootcamp is the first national measure bringing job seekers from Ticino, Romandy, and German-speaking Switzerland into the same course. You develop your application campaign for the Swiss and international job market, test it with a mock application, and practise job interviews. Ideal for expats integrating into the Swiss job market – and for Swiss professionals who can't find comparable programmes in their region.

  • Good to advanced computer skills and confident handling of design software

  • Motivation for participation in a three-week intensive course

  • For non-native speakers: English proficiency at B1 level

  • Good stress resilience – the course is intensive and demanding

Course Description

Application comes from advertising. The Application Bootcamp is designed for execution-focused professionals and leaders from creative industries, marketing, communications, and related fields who want to develop their application campaign in three weeks. During the course, you'll learn how compelling advertising campaigns are conceived – then apply those techniques to your own job search. This means analysing your skills and target group, conducting a market analysis, and crafting an application campaign concept that works.

Implementation happens largely independently: key visual, cover letter, CV, website, video, social media. Advertising professionals, designers, and HR experts guide you throughout. The course runs for three weeks and is delivered online. The outcome: an authentic application campaign that clearly stands out, reads well to both humans and algorithms, and creates lasting impact on the Swiss job market – all while respecting local application culture.

On course language: English is the language of communication during the course. Participants do not need to develop their application materials in English. You decide the language in which your campaign takes shape.

Today's reality: Between job seekers and recruiters stands the machine. Algorithms, keywords, and AI pre-filter applications before any human ever sees them. Those who don't become visible fall through the cracks. And even when a dossier gets through, a handful of seconds often determine yes or no.

This course teaches job seekers how to convince both people and machines. Participants develop an application campaign that becomes visible and creates impact.

The focus is strategy, concept, and storytelling. You'll work out your positioning, define your target group, and craft a clear core message for your job search. Implementation happens largely independently, guided by professionals from advertising, design, and HR.

By the end, you have a cohesive application profile with aligned components – covering CV, cover letter, website, video, portfolio, LinkedIn profile, or other elements as your goals require. Everything follows the same strategy. Everything tells the same consistent story about who you are and what you can do.
